2012 110 lynx comnect

Postby airconman » Mon Oct 21, 2019 5:45 am

Hi all.

I have just bought a second connect I sold my 04 one a while back.

Just a few quick questions if somebody could spare some of their time and knowledge.

1st is what tyres is everyone suggesting that are good for all season everyday use 195 65 15 95ts ?
I used to use firestorm f590s but that tyre appears to have been superseded.

2nd what kind of oil are people treating the engines to?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

The van will bot be doing serious mileage but I want it to still be serviced right.

I have that exact same van. I use 'Falken, Euro All Season' tyres, good tyres. I have always used 'Comma, XTech Fully Synthetic, 5W-30 oil. I put that oil in both my vans and have done for over ten years on my 56 plate. Never had any problems. I replaced the belt with a chain on my 110 and had to remove the sump, clean as a whistle in there. Same as the oil filters when I change them. I get it all from Amazon, delivered to my door:

Thanks for the reply.

Would this oil be fine to use with a dpf fitted do you know?

I think I may take the sump off when i do my oil change to clean out any debris or gunk which maybe lurking in there.

I will check them tyres out too.

Off the questioned topic but why would the van jerk slightly under very slight acceleration, would anyone know? Its perfect all the other time but in 2nd 3rd and 4th it seems shaky lol under feathering the throttle.

Cheers
