Transit connect fuse 20

Postby danny777 » Tue Dec 31, 2019 12:17 pm

Hi Gents

i have an issue i hope someone can help with.
I have a Transit Connect 2005 1.8 diesel
I had a parasitic drain on the battery when everything was turned off so went about diagnosing it with a multi meter and found that if i pulled fuse 20 from the auxiliary fuse box under the bonnet the battery drain stopped.
The only thing i noticed by pulling this fuse is that the small backlit dashboard clock/mileometer went out (is it normal for this to stay on with the ignition off anyway ?)

So my question is , does anyone know what this fuse protects ? and is it ok to pull it and drive the van

Thanks for any advice

Danny

Thanks for the replies

The drain on the battery has stopped once i pulled fuse 20 , so my only question is , does anyone know what this fuse does .

The link above just says PCM , whatever that may be , ECU maybe ?? and does it hurt not to have that fuse "in"

Thanks
