Cutting out issue

Postby Gemmabrum » Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:47 pm

Hoping someone can help.

Connect 1.8 TDCi 2003 keeps cutting out, got the codes read and got back -

P0404
P1211
P0251

I’ve changed injectors and fuel filter already.

Any suggestions on where to go next as we’re stuck...

Thanks

Did you cut open old filter to check for swarf :?:

As Delphi fuel pump do break up internally. Resulting in low fuel rail pressure, metal swarf from pump deposited in fuel filter & fouling injectors at the same time :!:

Thanks for your reply.

We took it to a garage who said they cut open the old filter and there was no swarf according to them.

Will it be worth plugging it into laptop on ForScan and check the fuel rail pressure when driving? As I assume if that’s low then it’s either rail or pump or could it be the metering valve?
