'03 Tourneo 1.8TDCI flasher not flashing

Help please
Indicators stay on permanently when "stalk' turned.
Have looked in fuse box - nearside rear of engine compartment. Cannot see a relay identified as flasher.
Is it hidden somewhere else?
Behind the dash?
Maybe so I can hear it click! Which, coming to think about it I have not heard for a long time although we have been flashing nicely up to today

According to legend, the relay should be up underneath the steering column, above the brake pedal. Black, yellow or white apparently. I have never come across it on mine, and haven't had to look for it, so only going on what has been said before. Good luck, and please let us know if you find it, and sort it.
