Hard to select reverse

Hi everyone
63 plate 230 LWB.
Bought it about a month ago and all was ok.
Now after a further 2000 miles it's almost impossible to get reverse. Eventually after a few minutes it selects. It's like the lever wants to go into 4th instead.
Really feel like something mechanical stopping as there is no Fri ding when it eventually gets there. All forward gears select fine.
Any ideas? Is it a common fault?

Not sure but I know with the older connects that the selector cables have issues. Might be worth getting someone to move the stick whilst you watch the cables move the selector on the gearbox.
