12v Rear Auxiliary Socket Connect van

Postby d1noh » Fri Apr 02, 2021 6:51 pm

Hope someone can point me in the right direction please,

2019 Connect Van,

Having found the 12v Aux loom tapped up to the main loom in the rear o/s panel i decided to order the correct socket 12v socket from Ford.

Installed the socket and no power going to it, checked the fuses in the fuse box under the bonnet and they are all there and not blown,

Question is where do I have to check now

I think yours is probably the new Connect, but if it is the old shape. Fusebox behind glovebox, F50, 15amp. Centre row, second fuse from one end. If relay panel is at top, F50 is near right hand end. Worth a look!
If your fusebox is 3 rows of 11 fuses, then it won't line up with the info in your handbook. I have made up a drawing of the 11 row fuses, if you need it.

Thanks for the reply

Fuse is located in the engine bay, it's the type that you have to take the fuse box out just to check a fuse, I need to check to see if they have used a relay

Did you find out which fuse it was and do you have a part number for the socket. Thanks

I am very interested in this. I have a 2022 msrt connect so presume the lead will be taped up somewhere ( its basically a ltd), i have ordered 1824918 aux socket, my research shows this to be correct and fuse 21 in engine bay should be the correct 1(20A) , i have to wait to get back home and the arrival of the socket so i can start playing so any advice with regards location of taped lead and the resolution of the no power finding of the OP would be greatly appreciated

Pugo

PS fords told me this was not possible to do and to go to an auto electrician to get one fitted
