They will be dephi injectors that have been reconditioned. Not Ford, as they never made the injectors. I know Siemens did make the later Mk1's if I am not mistaken. Not wrong, but not correct wording from the seller either :!:

Sorry I wasn't meaning Ford manufactured them, I know they are Delphi by manufacturer, and these parts are listed as remanufactured and listed as a Ford part available from main dealer. My point was firstly I was leaning toward these being of good quality and within tolerance as they carry the Ford logo (being remanufactured / reconditioned by AN OTHER), my reluctance was regarding the price they appear very reasonable. I hope they are genuine end of line stock or something like that.

I have been trying to find definitive leak off test data / test procedure to identify good from bad injectors by test data, rather than this one leaks more than that one.

I found this but I do not think it applies due to model: https://www.fordwiki.co.uk/index.php?ti ... k-Off_Test

If it does my new injector fitted is a load of crap, anyone know where or if leak off volumes are listed for 1.8 TDCI Delphi injectors and test specifics?

Remember the new injectors need to be coded in if you haven't done this already :!:

What you need is one of these. wonder if his could be made into a diesel injector tester.
What you are looking at here is a fuel injector bench. (petrol)
This is used for testing and calibrating fuel injectors.
The analogue knobs control two 555 timer IC's and an LM1949 IC, ( you have control of pulse frequency and duration) the circuit was built by a friend ..I built the rest.
which consists of a lpg camping stove gas bottle, small Datsun oil filter as a fuel filter, adaptors for the injector, pressure gauge, 5 amp power supply. - it works on the air over fluid principle. 30 PSI
i left the knobs set, i timed the injectors with a timer that switched the power supply on off after a period of time
i didn't need a multi ..as i just did one at a time .

all the best.mark

All fixed now. Problem was one or more injectors. Fixing just one did not solve the issue, improvement but issue still there. I have replaced all 4 and no longer have the hesitation issue. For anyone reading this with a similar problem, perform a leak off test. Unfortunately I cannot find injector specific leak off data, but I have followed the test as per fordwiki page. My results are far exceeding what is claimed within tolerance over the 5 min period but I know this is not the same injector, nevertheless the van now drives perfectly. Results are with 5ml of each other. Cost me 360 pounds in total, as I needed a new fuel line plus 4 x remanufactured delphi ford retail packaging injectors.

The Test:

The test that I used starts with 2 minutes running at idle followed by:

30 seconds with the accelerator held at 3800 rpm followed by:

30 seconds at idle followed by:

30 seconds with the accelerator held at 3800 rpm followed by:

30 seconds at idle followed by:

30 seconds with the accelerator held at 3800 rpm followed by:

30 seconds at idle.

Delphi state that the fuel temperature should be no less than 50C so hot engine for this test.
