Info - on clutches

Postby metalworker0 » Mon Jun 14, 2021 5:33 pm

Noticed the other day , that someone said you had to take the subframe off to do a clutch.

Are thee different methods of going about a clutch change ..as i watched one on youtube the other day, and it looked a massive extremely long drawn out operation
NOTE: no subframe was dropped .

I also read about someone removing spot welds on front cross member, and removing cross-member . to somehow make it easier .

what is best?

all the best..mark

i have never took subframe off to get them out and done a few of them

easy getting them out it harder getting it back in

but very doable on the floor just need another pair of hands to help lift the weight of the box :D
