Won't Start P0087

Owned my Transit Connect for 3 months. Couple of issues with it when brought but I thought nothing major. Couple of nights ago on way home it cut out glided to a holt and thought maybe the fuel gauge was showing wrong amount and I've run out of fuel. Walk back to the nearest petrol station a can and diesel purchased and back to the van.

Poured in expecting to jump in and start it up and get home but nope just turned over but would not start.

Called a breakdown truck which arrived and took us home.

So I've googled and read overs post about if you run out of fuel in these its a nightmare, hopefully that's all it is.

I've removed the large hose on the top left and sprayed easistart and it runs, well kind of.

I noticed a part on the pump has been broken and stuck on so maybe that's preventing it from starting?

I've used a Bluetooth reader to scan for codes and have the following: P0087

Someone mentioned if an injector has failed it would stop if from running as it stops all. Unplug and see if it runs.... what do I unplug :/

Need as much help as possible please.

low fuel pressure can be anything

change fuel filter first

then get injectors tested
