Transit Connect 2004 TDDI won't start

Hi All,

Firstly, sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place.

My son has a 2004 transit connect and it randomly cut out, someone suggested I replace the fuel filter which I have done, and cracked the injector pipes one by one to ensure diesel was getting through and it is, I also replaced the air filter. I also checked that the Glow plugs were getting a live feed when the ignition is turned on, I also checked the fuses.

So basically it cranks has diesel but won't start. This did start out by it randomly cutting out so all help appreciated.

Hi all, a friend suggested the crankshaft sensor, I will replace it and see what happens.

I've heard there is a fuel pump cutoff switch ..somewhere hidden behind the dash ..designed to activate when in a crash ..it pops out and has to be reset...
These can sometimes be activated by a bump in the road, as they get older they become more sensitive.

no idea what part of the dash its hidden behind - but search here suggests - Remove the right-hand side cowl side trim panel between bulk head and "A" post

but worth investigating ,.,.,before you spend a lot of money.
will be yellow or red in colour

Hi Sadly, no cut-off switch on either side, I am scratching my head now. Any other suggestions anyone. Please.?
