Reverse light switch removal?!

Reverse light switch on gearbox needs removed and replaced. Haynes says to remove air intake box, which I done but it seems too tight a gap to remove the switch. I've managed to twist it a little but its not budging. Even sprayed some wd40. Any tips?

its a fiddly job i did it myself the other week, I linked a couple of spanners together to give me a little more leverage just to free it off. as you can tell from the new one it doesn't go in that deep
