Shimmy when accelerating only ?

Hi. My wife's 2003 Connect has started shaking between 40 and 55 mph. It feels like a left-right shake rather than up-down. It's not really felt through the steering wheel but the whole cabin vibrates.

I've just had all four wheels balanced but the problem is still there. It only happens when accelerating. Decelerating back from 60 is smooth as silk.

What on earth could cause this?

Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me too.
