DPF issue

Postby spoonman » Sat Nov 06, 2021 10:19 am

Hi there,

currently I have a problem with my wifes Tourneo Connect, 2012, 90PS 1,8TDCI, actually 180k on the clock.
Four weeks ago limbed home, Forscan reports too much ash in DPF, regenerating didn't work, so we bought a new aftermarket one.
Yesterday engine light comes on, again, Forscan reports DPF full, needs regeneration.

There are some black deposits on DPF inlet, and in the down pipe with cat, too:

Is this "normal" amount? I want to check out the vaporizer, too, Ohmmeter figures out about 2Ohms, but maybe it's clogged.

Another question, the two temperature sensors (with blue cables) read out a resistance > 2MegOhm. Are these PTC/NTC types, or do the produce a certain amount of voltage, depending on exhaust temp?`

Any suggenstions what to do further?

Cheers,
Lars
