Instrument Cluster Permanently Lit

Postby MylesDraper » Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:22 pm

Hi guys, hoping somebody can help me with a little issue i have with my Transit connect 2003.

The battery was draining flat overnight so i pulled fuses to find that the one for the instrument cluster draws 0.4A. After finding this i could see that the instrument cluster was permanently lit.

My question is, is this a common problem? If so, is it an easy fix?

I've scoured the internet and found a few answers (like checking the instrument cluster PCB isn't damp and cleaning the connectors) but none of these have worked so far.

Thanks,
Myles

Did you ever cure this problem, been sat in mine tonight with ignition off and the clocks back lighting kept coming on then going off , but I haven’t had any problems with battery draining.
Cheers Ian
