2018 connect stop start hasn't worked for ages

The one fault I've ever had from running this for a year. It's been like this for months now. I'm led to believe that many Fords have a dodge for resetting the BMS ( battery condition monitor ), such as a sequence of pressing fog light and hazard switched with the ignition on, etc. Anyone tried it on a Connect?

Short journeys in the winter can affect it, it's unlikely to stop if you're doing short journeys with lights, heater, wipers, heated seat on.

Agree. Except that it hasn't got heated seats! :lol: It's had multiple trips from Newcastle to Southampton and back, and hasn't worked since before they started. I reckon it stopped in maybe August last year.

It doesn't work properly if the battery is a bit tired, or has the wrong type fitted :(

Is yours the original one :?:

Yep. Fairly convinced from what I read it just needs a reset. Just haven't figured out ( yet ) how to do it.
