Headlight bulbs

Currently looking at changing my main beam headlight bulbs in my 65 reg connect, I want to get something brighter than the standard yellow lights when there on, I don’t want anything to bright that almost blinds people but something bright enough to notice anyone have any recommendations, thanks

I changed them to one of the Phillips Blue Lights with 100 or 130 extra brightness... but basically it gave next to no improvement

I changed all front lights to same colour at same time

I ended up fitting a Lazer Lamp Kit into the Grill.

Made a huge improvement for high beam - Not cheap - but the bulbs were around £100 and a waste of money..

I was looking into this very same thing recently as my stocks on my 2007 connect are pathetic. The dimmed bulbs you can barely tell if they are on or off and rated at only 5w according to the manual.

I could not decide what new ones to buy and although probably not popular opinion I have just been using the foglights all the time.

I know you are supposed to not use them due to risk to other drivers, however my rationale is they are no brighter than standard dimmed lights of today (both are 55w) and probably much less bright. I such much less bright because even with these on if a car is behind me often they are still lighting the way far ahead of me with their lights which I presume are dimmed.

Also so many daylight running lights nowadays in the same position as the foglights they will just look like the former.

I will note when I had my full beams on a couple of times for oncoming traffic when I was struggling to see I would get flashed to indicate to turn them down but no such flashes for my fogs which I take to mean they are not bothering oncoming drivers.
