'16 1.5TDI 120 with an oil leak

Hey, I bought a '16 LWB Limited Connect back in November with the 1.5 120 TDI engine in it and it has since developed an oil leak. I've had a look under the bonnet with my dad and it's coming from the gearbox side of the engine (oil residue on the linkage). Does anyone know where the common leak locations are so I can try to narrow it down further? Unfortunately I'm not in a position to do major engine surgery at home and I need it for driving to and from work on the day to day so the ability to go to a garage and say exactly where the leak is will be very helpful.

lots of places can leak oil and end up at the bottom of the gearbox.

it will be near impossible to spot unless you do an engine clean up / wash-down / de-grease ..and then keep an eye on it

you'll be looking at the oil cooler and oil filter , the vacuum pump , the camcover gasket,

if it does not appear from them and appears at the gearbox join to engine ..it may be the rear crankshaft oil seal.
