Engine stalling, dead for 3min and on again

Hi all,

My connect started doing this weird thing, it stalls while driving, sometimes when stopped at the lights, when turning the key all lights go on except for the engine, so no cranking when trying to start it, it stays dead for around 3, 4 min and then the engine light turns yellow and it starts no problem.

There is this message as well of 'service beltminder' during the time it won't start, then disappears.

It usually does it at around 10 min to drive and then can do it up to every 2 min.

Been in two garages the mechanics can't figure it out, diagnosis shows no error apparently.

Any clue?

no clue, as you haven't put year, model, cc, petrol, diesel etc

Best do the basics first, check all the connections from the battery , take them off clean them, that is earths and lives. this will involve you following the "thick"earths to the connections on the engine and body.

still nothing , swap some relays around if they are identical in the fuse box in the engine compartment .

if they are the same, try swapping r14 with r13, ones a blower motor .so if heating plays up and not the engine , you'll know.

I took it to the garage, he's done that, clean and check every connection.

Checked all the fuses and battery too, new diesel filter installed and still same problem.

I'll try swap fuses as you suggested tomorrow, thanks.
