So, just a little thing to say that unfortunately, the connect met its maker. In the form of an 87 year old lady. Pulled across in front of me and I had no chance. Van was driveable after, but it was deemed uneconomical to repair. The other insurance company offered me an off too good to turn down, and I accepted. Regretfully.
Thanks so much to Al, and all the forum members for the years of help and info. And I hope I helped someone, at some point. I have now purchased a mondeo mk3 st220 with 36k on the clock, and am looking forward to keeping this standard.
Anyway, enough rambling. I will pop back and look at anything I might be able to help with.

That's a shame after all the work that you've put into the Connect, but the Mondy does look good 
Don't be a stranger, owning a Transit is not a requirement to be on here, and your Connect knowledge which you'll always have, has been invaluable in the past
