Gasket or silicon for rocker cover repair @ main dealer?

I recently got my 2018 1.5 Ecoblue Transit Connect back from repair at a Ford main dealer.
They took the camshaft out in an attempt to diagnose a misfire issue.
The camshaft was fine, so they reassembled and test drove it, and no misfires, so they told me to collect it.

I drove home and it seemed fine. The next time I drove it, an engine warning light came on.
I opened the bonnet and found oil pouring out of the engine all the way around the rocker cover seal.
Coolant reservoi also full of oil. There was silicon sealant visible where the rocker cover gasket should be.

They've had the van back for a week now, and told me today that Ford's official service procedure to use silicon sealant, not a gasket.
I don't believe them for a second. Can anybody here help me prove they're lying? Anybody have a workshop manual for this engine?
Or is this actually Ford's official repair procedure?

I cant see what they have done

1. Put it back together with the old gasket and silicone ..to avoid waiting a couple of days for the correct gasket - as ford garages don't hold spares any more

2. or they are doing away with the gasket altogether and just using sealant

NOTE : THERE IS NO GASKET BETWEEN THE CAMSHAFT CARRIER AND THE CYLINDER HEAD - that will be sealant

Sorry no manual ..may be able to have a look tonight ..no links here to it ..so may be a ford Fiesta / Focus manual , Fusion , Mondeo, Peugeot or Citroen manual, when i find it that hopefully covers the SOHC.

I say hopefully ..no one ever shared the 1.8 one here yet or have i ever been able to find a downloadable one for free in its entirety ..so don't get your hopes up for 1.5 one.

This van has been a nighmare and the Ford garage have been totally clueless.
I've been pointing out Ford technical bulletins about the van to them, because they haven't bothered to look.
The van is only 5 years old and has had the DPF system replaced, the Adblue module, all four fuel injectors, and the turbocharger.
When they told me the camshaft was faulty, I said I didn't believe the for a second, and told them I thought it was an ECU issue because of the weird incorrect lwo fuel warning.
They agreed to take out the camshaft to check it, and of course found nothing wrong with it.

Now it looks like they've failed to reassemble the engine properly.
Who knows what damage has been done as a result of the massive oil discharge into the cooluing system. Good thing I've only done about 10 miles since they did it.
It came back to me with a MAF sensor fault too, which they have admitted was due to incorrect reassembly.

I would strongly reccomend avoiding Allen Ford Coventry's service department at all costs.

There are only a couple of ways the oil can get into the cooling system
1. The head gaskets failed .
2. Dissembling the EGR cooler has resulted in a fail to assemble properly - unlikely
3 . The EGR cooler has failed internally
4. The oil cooler has failed - not common on an engine of 5 years old
