2018 connect no start cranks not firing
No codes other than glow plugs
Has fuel pressure
Checked data only thing I can see is ficm sync no
Timing checked , sensors replaced no fault for sync but won’t fire

Ideas from a specialist would be fantastic

Thanks for the reply but ficm sync no in data what is that if all sensors done doesn’t have correlation fault

FICM - Fuel injector control module

I'm leaning as i go here ..about as educated as you on this so far

No results coming in for connect in google searches..so was searching focus, fiesta, fusion 1.5 etc and found

A couple saying wiring fault - check the multiplug ..bent pics etc ...clean with electrical cleaner

......couple saying bad fuel injector control module! this is the last thing you'd look for

Think there may be a relay for the module ..try swapipng relays with other identical ones, if so

most results come back for the ford large truck engine --- the powerstroke, that completely overwhelms everything and spoils the search.

and if it is fueling issue it should still try to start or fire with easy start spray

Right towed it after few goes it fired sounded healthy no misfire fairly balanced engine
All air intake pipes off so flat as a witches tit but revd and sounds good
Noticed oil trail behind checked under found oil puddle under van
Popped bonnet found blow out of both side of turbo
With this said would you say engine fail or turbo seals
Given that no misfire and sounded good

trail; of oil from the turbo ..if you are sure .....i would have no doubt that needs replacing

sounds like a good and possibly best way of checking the turbo to me

But could other things lead to oil out of both ends of turbo the amount of oil is like feed pipe was loose
So with it sounding nice and no misfire you agree possibility of engine issues causing are small

Well i dont know what you mean by both ends ..as one end is buried in the manifold,...and gets driven by the exhaust gasses, the other end is the intake makes the boost

The pipe leading from it going strait up is still on the intake end this has a breather pipe going to it

You can only see 1 end of the turbo...and that's the one the air cleaner tube goes to

The oil feed and oil return would need to be looked at

If the oil is coming out of the impeller.....the fan thing ..without engine breather pipe attached ..then yes turbo has failed

Well ive never seen a turbo tested like this .....you also got to factor in that the pressure it makes when sealed up .... may stop the oil coming out in quantity until its really failed...

You could be talking about oil coming out of the boost tubes ...it does pile up in these in certain places ..just before the inter-cooler is a drip point . where if you haven't got a good seal,. it drips directly onto the brake vacuum unit. this oil is usually from the breather system.

The boost pipes and intercooler accumulate the oil ........which has to be cleaned out every service by dismantling everything, the older and more worn it gets the more oil ..i suppose.

I don't know if this oil clears itself out if you thrash the thing ....as i only trundle round in mine. never doing over 2500 revs, especially since the 20mph speed limit here in wales
