2014 Transit Connect, lights and dials flash?

Hi folks, newbie Connect owner, just bought myself an 2014 Transit Connect.
I've only had it for a few weeks but about a week ago I noticed when returning to the vehicle that the lights would flash. I stopped to see if it did it again and it did, every 10 seconds the headlights, rear lights, number plate lights and the dash dials would all flash. I started the engine and all seemed fine, I've noticed it doing it a few other times but just kinda ignored it ... it seems to be fine while driving and would only randomly (it seemed) do the "flashy thing".
Now, it's parked in my drive and it keeps doing it, every 10 seconds it will flash. I've tried leaving it with the doors locked / unlocked and it still does it. I assume it will drain the battery if it does it all night, not to mention probably annoy the neighbours! Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?

Find the relay for the lights and swap it with another one that is the same, which you'll probably find in the same fuse box. (the owners manual spells out were each fuse box is and what it contains)
if it stops and something else comes on every 10 secs ..then you need a new relay.

this is all i can think of, if its anything else .....you'll be pulling fuses to see what stops it.

and then looking for wiring faults.....or faults with the switches inside the cabin.

If not any of that, it will be the body control module "BCM" ..of which, i have no knowledge of testing, otther than substitution. think there are also fuses on the BCM

forscan may show something ..i don't know. forscan is the recommended by everyone here as the go to for diagnostics on these fords

Is it keeping in time with the LED immobiliser light?

If so, there may be an earthing problem, causing that light to earth through your main lights, or alternatively, have your main bulbs been swapped for LED bulbs
