Request for Wiring Diagram 2017 Transit Connect Aircon Fault

Postby nickwhi » Fri Aug 08, 2025 4:13 pm

Hello everyone,

I’m currently dealing with an air conditioning fault on my 2017 Transit Connect and am struggling to diagnose the issue without a proper wiring diagram. I’ve used Forscan to help narrow down the problem to somewhere between the HVAC panel and the BCM. At the moment, the call for aircon isn’t registering—even though the cabin fan is running and the aircon button’s LED is lit.

If anyone could share or direct me to a detailed wiring diagram for the aircon system, particularly the BCM on this model, it would be extremely helpful. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated, as I’m hoping to tackle this without unnecessary guesswork or expense.

Thanks in advance for your support!

Best regards,
Nick

There is no 2017 connect manual being shared anywhere

All i can point you to is the transit custom ecoblue manual .. that may be sufficiently the same, as far as AC is concerned, to help you out.

Almost all aircon faults (in my experience) are purely mechanical, and often don't show up with diagnostics.

The faults that I've had on various Fords have been:-

1/ Lack of gas, caused by a leak in one of the pipes rubbing on other parts
2/ Lack of gas, caused by a leaking condenser
3/ A/C fan not starting up, seized up fan motor, faulty fan switch, or wiring fault to fan .
4/ A/C fan starting but stopping, due to another component not working, often the compressor!

There can be other reasons, but I've only ever had all of the above, twice in some cases!
