2006 Transit connect central locking module

Hi, having some trouble with the key fob on my 2006 connect, old remote buttons worn out, so brought an ebay one programmed and working fine for a few months then dead. Tried a new battery nothing, tried to program again nothing. Tried the old remote nothing either. Im thinking this could be one of the modules, has anyone else had this problem and what module was at fault?

According to a genius electronics chap on you tube, BIGCLIVE ... the transit china Key fobs die, and he doesn't know why ..

i suggest you buy another, i bought mine from this seller ... 6 months ago .. ok so far AT £5.75 ..... you could do that every year ... and still be on top of what ford charges for one . which is over £100

note: i put a new battery in it strait away with expiry date 10 years into the future --- that matters

Thanks for the link, I've ordered one. I'm familiar with big clive, for 5 quid its worth a shot. It was more how the old one which is genuine wouldn't work either as only the buttons were temperamental on that one. I was also mindful of the 4 fob clause as this may have now been exceeded.

Good news, the remote arrived today and is working perfectly. Thanks for the link Mark, chances of both my fobs going seemed unlikely but glad of this outcome, only cost me a fiver as well.
