Connect sliding door

Hi I am new to this forum and I am asking for advice on my connect van. Can anyone help please?
My sliding side door locks with the remote key fob, sometimes the door bounces of the latch mechanism when sliding the door shut. It will evenually shut on the latch after a few times of sliding back and forth.
Another problem is that after opening and closing the door through the day the door will not unlock with the remote or with the latch button inside the van.
Someone I work with has told me his mate had problems with his sliding door too.
Anyone any ideas as to what can be causing this problem as it is driving me mad!!

It sounds like the latch is starting to stick inside, have you tried lubricating it?

Hi thanks for your reply i have tried oiling with wd40 ...didn't make any difference unforunately.

sounds like a new latch then just check the internal handle isnt sticking in the open position before replacing anything

Thanks for that, i will have to get a quote from the ford dealer i have only had the van 6 months but its out of its warranty unfortunately. What a great forum this is thanks
