I need to get a new OBD diagnostic dongle as the one I have, the developer has gone to sleep and all the stuff about it is in Czechoslovakian, which I cannot read.

I see there are two dongles for this Forscan, cheap Chinese version for around Twenty quid and the genuine 'OBDLink EX FORD FORSCAN OBD2 Scan Tool USB' whch is around £70.00 quid.

I want to use the wired USB version, with a laptop as well.

What does everyone here use, the £20.00 quid versions or, the £70.00 quid , gebuine version?

Does anyone know if these will read the ABS codes on the Connect? I have seen some videoes where the software told him the exact speed sensor that was knackerd.

well through the years it sort of went like this

Up top 2 years ago, they recommended an interface cable called ELM327

Then after that a cable called V-linker

I use a thirty quid V-Linker cable and Forscan on a Windows laptop, and yes, it will id which wheel sensor is failing.

It seems that there are many of these on the market now, and no-one has recommended any particular version, so it's pay your money and take your choice.
Mine came from Amazon quite a while ago now, so I don't have a link any more
