Hi there i''ve just recently started gettina rattling when the van is roughly at 2k revs and under a load ie up a hill etc its pretty noisey and worryingly expenisve no doubt
Anyone any ideas what it could be or is there a common problem ?
53 plate T200 1.8tddi 75 of those ramping horse! 80k on the clock as far as i;m aware its a belt and not chain driven? serviced at 70k new fuel, air, oil filters. pads and discs and two new tyres got it for 2k so not a massive loss if i have to spend cash on it to get it up to scratch (not that its a bucket) will be using it for valeting/detailing so will always look pretty clean.
It happens in all gears at the revs mentioned around 1800 2000
It sounds like gearbox 'thrash', its nothing to worry about (if thats what it is!!) as its only noise transferring through the gear cables. It might be worth popping into your local dealer and getting a roadtest with a tech just to make sure
P.S. its belt and chain drive, chain from crank to fuel pump (unless its had the latest 'belt in oil' set-up fitted) then cambelt from fuel pump to camshaft

Thanks mate (kinda hoping you would pop in with an attmepted answer)
Now for my next trick...
Drivers headlight wont move when the level on the dash is switched between 0-4 passenger is fine drivers just sits and does a little wobbly dance lol can you buy the motor seperate or is it a whole new light??
I havent ever changed a Connect levelling motor, so I dont know if they come seperate (but i've done plenty of Transits and you can get them seperate, so I would have thought so )
Just check the little ball joint hasn't come out of its socket in the headlight before you get a motor, you never know

Oil light is flickering been told it could be a dodgy sender? ordered one of those cd's that supposedly ford use for the connects not opened it yet but will see what and where the sender is and possibly fix it my self. any ideas nutty prof??
Oil pressure switch, it was really common on the 03/53 plates diesels its on the gearbox side of the head, think its green from memory and 24mm?? spanner/socket needed to undo it
