tracking, wheel wobble etc

Postby sparkyork » Wed Jul 30, 2008 10:05 pm

hi everyone, 1stly ive got some pics down in the gallery!!

right ford said me tracking was out which it defo is, just wondering (although i dont intend to do it myself!) is it simply a case of turning the tie rod end round abit and reconnecting it?

also was wondering what finis code my alternator is gonna be? ive heard reports that some have alternators made by visteaon?

also getting quite bad wheel wobble at 70 ish, and can also feel it when going quite alot slower? its nothing to do with the work ive done as it always done this, i did notice when iwas doing me cv joint that i could hear water inside the tyre?

If you have water in the tyre, then that would deff put that wheel out of balance and cause it to wobble. Though how water got inthere is another worry!

I very Much doubt its water inside the Tyre. What You do get is rubber balls (simular to ball bearings) thats because where condensation inside the Tyre collects the Chalky rubber substance from the Butal Liner inside.

Though a careless Tyre fitter not removing the Balance weights from the wheels prior to removal and fitting of Tyre could leave You with a balance weight in side the tyre
