downpipe (de-cat)

hi i know the connect is linked with the focus so i wanted to know if the down pipe with cat in is the same as in a diesel focus? because im sure it would be easier to get a de-cat pipe for one of those than a connect unfortunately the guy who did the exhaust on my car is no longer in business
