ford transit connect 2003, turbo probs?

Hi members,
my bro has a ford transit connect 2003, when driving for some time the turbo seems to cut out?!!(loss of power)!!. If you turn the ignition off and on again, power is restored! it is happening more frequently, every day now. if any one has any ideas please post your replys as he is worried about causing further damage.

Sounds like its going into limp mode

Does the glowplug light come on when it does it

He really needs to get it read to see if there is any codes in it

no the light does not come on! Off to my friend's garage for a plug in!. i will keep you posted, thanks for the advice.
