heated front screen

Postby mostin » Sat Sep 27, 2008 5:52 pm

Hi, the front screen on my connect only heats up on the drivers side and not the passenger side, does anyone know how to fix this, and if its a blown fuse where is the fuse located? Thanks in advance

what if only a strip about 6 inches wide (right in front of me on the drivers side, naturally!) isnt working? is that a fuse or is the screen element shagged?

probably the bloke fitting it was talk sheeite. national windscreens fitter who also had a garage at home with an "evo" with 450 brake and a "cossie" for weekends. i'll take his prices with a big pinch of salt. it was done on the insurance so god knows.

My mates jumbo had a 6 inch strip go off, so back and forth to dealers about 4 times if memory servers before they admitted it needed a new screen, the van was still under warranty, is yours, if not do you have windscreen cover for damaged screens, IE cracked smashed etc.
