fuel pump/ electrical

I have an 03 transit connect tddi 75hp. The fuel pump went on it some time ago which i have had replaced. I have sent it to the local dealer perrys in aylesbury who say that the key will not code to the pump ans that i need to buy a new security system costing £ 650 plus vat and fitting. Is there ay way around this? They seem to have me over a barrell. I have had so many problems with this van im getting to the stage where im throwing good money after bad, and wonder if it would be best just to take it to the scrap yard and weigh it in. I said this to the dealer whos reply was you get good ones and bad ones, which doesnt really help me. The van is still sat at the dealers. Please please help!

get it to the nearest diesel people that know what they are talking about & get them to deactivate it (usually costs about 30 quid) then it will work.
