gearbox trouble

I've a bit of an issue at the moment with gear selection, but not sure if it's anything serious. Driving it a bit more this week and it's notchy to get 1st and 3rd gear once warmed up. Anyone have an idea as to what it may be?

I removed the gear lever gaitor and the right hand gear cable fitting looks to be shot. The internal (PTFE?) seal seems to be damaged. Not sure if this is the cause.

It's in at the dealers at the moment getting serviced, and asked them to have a look, but let me know what they find before I say okay to any repairs. It would be good to hear from anyone who may have had this or a similar issue so I can have an idea when they call.

Had a few connects with gear cables that stretch, try adjusting them first and see if that makes any difference

Worth having a look at the PAS pipes under the air filter housing to see if they have come unclipped and hitting on the selector mechanism

Garage adjusted them today and no real difference apart from the box feels a bit tighter now. I'll have a look at the PAS pipes tomorrow.

It's more of an annoyance than and issue. It goes in easy on smooth changes, but if you try and force it then it will catch and not go.
