Remote central locking (Lead In)

Postby lewis_webb » Wed Jan 28, 2009 7:02 pm

Hi,

I am interested in buying a pre registered van but noticed it did not have remote central locking, Ive been searching the internet this afternoon and think it may be a Lead In however it does have a side loading door?

Can anyone tell me if it is a lead in? Secondly what other differences does it have? Is it possible to buy a remote module, if so how much roughly and can I fit it?

Thanks
Lewis

Someone has mentioned on here if it does not have mouldings on its a lead, easiest way to find out if you can have a fob is ignition on and off (ignition lights on all doors closed) about 8 times within 10 seconds and if the locks start to work you can program a fob in, might be best ask if you can try if the sales lad there.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, have spoken to the saleman and he has said it is an L as it has ABS but does not have remote locking. Anybody familar with an L without remote locking? Anybody know if is possible to fit a remote module myself? And the costs involved?

It seems like a really good deal but I really could do with remote locking.

Thanks
