cheers boys, followed the instructions you gave, fitted my lead quite easy, put mine in the centre console bit of a pig to get the aux in socket in the blank but if it was easy it wouldn't be fun would it. cheers.

You probably dont have bluetooth, with it only being an L, so its just a mute button

Aaaarrghh! I'm sure this is an easy thing to sort out for those who know, but i'm fairly new to vehicle matters and only 5 months in with my connect and i'm having some problems. I have a 2008 (08) T200LX, with the 6000cd ( central volume knob ) as pictured in the original post, the same ford lead as pictured in the original post. On removing the head unit there is already a white connector in the slot i think i'm supposed to use. it has three wires to it, grey and white, purple and white and black, and is in the same flexible conduit as the other wiring to the head unit. The van is an ex-rental so hasn't been modified. I wanted to ask if anyone can tell me what i'm supposed to be doing so i dont have to pay someone to do such a simple job. The other problem i had was trying to get the round blanking plate out of the centre console. It rotates a little bit so it isn't glued, but i can't get it out. Any advice would be a great help.

Try looking underneath the gear lever gaitor, there may be the end of a loom waiting for a socket to be connected to it

Mine has a couple of other unused sockets/blocks: One large block facing the floor on drivers side of central console and a couple of little ones hanging freely by the drivers right ankle/shin area (where door loom comes in). :? 2007 TRANSIT CONN T220 L90 with CD/central volume.

You have to use iTunes to sync music... IPods don't work as mass storage devices.

If you don't want iTunes download copy trans control centre

I've just been to my local dealer to check the price of the lead against the ebay offers.
Ford dealer price for part F1426121which is the lead that plugs into the rear of the stereo and has the large jack plug socket is £25.50, so an ebay purchase it is!
Strange that this ebay onehttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330554024540 is actually from a Ford dealer and is cheaper even including the postage.
