To be honest I didn't really think about it at the time as the engine sounds fine. It would be interesting to find out more about the adjustment though!

You must have the superior individual number plate lights on yours blue. The ones on mine are the awful ones which are built into the plastic trim above the plate. The bulbs have started to melt the plastic that is around the bulb holders  I have fitted aftermarket LED's before, but they weren't great, so went back to the original filament bulbs. I can get a new unit, but for the whole assembly, frauds want 75 quid... I can't even retro fit the later ones, even from a 2006

Also number plate lights

Changed the drivers door check strap ,
Changed the inter cooler using Kenton’s method
Washed it
Unblocked the washer jets as the spray pattern was worse than a Man with a dodgy prostrate
Checked the tyre pressures

Nice one blue! Good few jobs out of the way before winter really hits! 8) Glad you got the intercooler done too. Not such a difficult upgrade to do. What mine really needs right now is a damn good wash!! :(

Did you try giving them a refurb Pete?
The ones on my Mk7 looked like the LH one, so a gave them a good hard rub with some metal polish, and they came up much more like your new one :)

Replaced the crank shaft oil seal, as it has given up in catastrophic style and sprayed oil everywhere!. Had to replace the auxiliary belt as that had also partly shredded because of the oil ingress. We realised when removing the crank pulley, that one section of the aux belt had stripped and wrapped around the rear of the pulley... A seal, belt, oil change, and steam clean later, plus a test drive to ensure the leak was gone, and she's back on the road once again :D 8)
