What do you plan to do with the air sensor in the side of the euro 3 one ?Kenton wrote:I decided to order a good used Euro 4 intercooler after my visist to Vantuner went so well, and it all arrived today! The intercooler is a 2012 unit, and in very good condition, so is the top cover (2 parts). We pressure tested it, and all seems good. Had a trial fitting, and all fell into place nicely. My oil catch tank also arrived, so that will also be fitted (rocker breather) i am going to blank off the inlet to the main air intake pipe that used to come from the rocker cover, and just send it directly to the catch - which has a breather filter on top. Far less oil vapour going through the air inlet system!
I’ll keep an eye on you then as I balls up and brought one of the later ones as well so might as well fit itKenton wrote:Simply going to drill a hole in the same vicinity and thread it so the sensor can be put in. Maybe add a small run of PTFE round the brass thread too. I forgot to add that bit in my description of works
I won’t have a problem with the ac pipe as it don’t have itKenton wrote:Euro 4 110 intercooler fitted! Went well with no other alterations needed, apart from relocating the temperature sensor. The place where we were going to site it wasn't suitable as the air con connection was right in the way! So we eneded up locating it slightly further back.
