Put some wheel trims on and put a new rear gearbox mount on as the torsion mount bolt had snapped

Didn't happen today, but last Sat. we had ordered a replacement /drop in K&N air filter for the van and took a chance at ordering it through Amazon. Amazon is not as bad as craigslist or ebay, but still something I'm reluctant ordering. The filter arrived Last Fri as a friends house because UPS, FEDEX and even the USPS say they can't deliver large packages to our home. Instead we're now having anything "large" sent to our friends homes 2 hours away. So it gives us a good weekend drive to go visit him.

Just to verify, the Drop in K&N lifetime air filter #33-3138 fits the 2021 Ford Transit Connect SWB XL 2.0L van air box, But save your old filter for when you have to recharge the K&N 2 years down the road.

Finally got my delivery of some rockford fosgate punch speakers!!

After replacing the cd6000 for the Sony one, the cheapo jvc speakers are getting binned off.
See how it sounds otherwise its gonna be getting an aftermarket head unit. So today's plan is.....

Door cards off
Jvc speakers int bin
Better job sound deadening
Lube the living sh*t outta the locking solenoids (thanks kenton!)
Stick the fosgates in

Then probably look for a new head unit hahaha

Kenton your engine bay looks good! I've probably missed the obvious but is your van a custom spray job?

Hello mate, no. It's the original paint. I'm just a bit of a clean freak when the weather permits! The vans done 146k now, but when I took it over about 7 years ago, it had the full steam clean treatment. Much easier to keep on top of stuff since then. It was a right old sorry state when I got it, but luckily it didn't have any rust, and I have fought hard to keep it that way. It kinda deserves it to be fair as its a good body. Just waer and tear on the mechanical side that keeps me busy! But that's to be expected on a 16 year old van. Good luck with your continuing hard efforts man, more power to your elbow 8) 8)

On my 2013 US model TC, I installed window "vent" deflectors, and a keyless entry keypad. Both are Ford accessories.

Window vents: VGT1Z-18246-B
Keypad: KB3Z-14A626-A

The keypad is the latest from Ford, for most current (and older) vehicles with keyless entry. Some owners of various older Fords have found this keypad not to work. BUT, there's a top-secret (seldom seen; not packaged with the keypad) document that tells how to switch the keypad into communication mode 1, and which vehicles require this mode. On the USA Ford Transit forum, a link to the PDF document is at post #58 of this Keyless Entry thread:

Here's a link that shows the larger, new keypad, compared to the familiar, older version:

Gotta love the wind deflectors. I was never a particular fan, but since having mine, I think they work very well. Not only with wind noise, but rain deflection too 8) Nice one.
