Got the van booked in for a timing belt, ancillary belt and glow plug change on Tuesday.
Lets hope it's fixed on Monday as I should notice a change in the performance.

Hi just found this thread after my Connect started doing exactly the same thing on Friday evening and 3 times this morning :( Just wondered if belt and glow plug change sorted it out

Yes I had 4 injectors done as they were returning too much diesel, which meant low pressure. I broke down 47 times last week coming back from Vale's work unit.
And 24 times up the M2 motorway, it's all up hill.
Get yourself a leak test done first. If you cannot afford to, get yourself 4 lengths of pipe and 4 bottles. Disconnect the return lines on the injectors and connect the pipes.
You should run a 3 minutes test, which will produce 30ml of diesel in each bottle. Any more diesel than that and they are buggered.
I got my 4 injectors from Diesel Bob at £90.00 + vat each. They offer a very good service.
She runs like the French TGV now.

I'll phone Colchester Fuel Injection tomorrow and get her booked in. It happened while I was flooring it in 4th this evening while joining A13 and after that power felt a bit down on way home. Just what you need this close to xmas :(

If your glow plug light came on then should register an error code as they double up for the EMS warning light.

Hi. I know it’s a long time ago. But did you find the problem. I have a mk6 & it has just done exactly as yours did right down to the 70mph up a hill. Didn’t want to start straight away but did after a minute so left it around 15 minutes it it started & ran fine. Trouble is it was 4 hours into a 4 1/2 hour journey to Cornwall so don’t know if it will cause further problems.
