Ticket info says that gates open Saturday 8am but we've always had people turning up on Friday evening in the past

I have checked this with Santa Pod...

Friday is for Best of British and Transitmania setup, gates to "regular" punters open up at 8am sat. There is no official provision for camping on the Friday night.

If you do turn up on Friday evening you might get away with it - you might not.
