On the subject of venues, there was someone at the show (sorry can't remember who!), who said their car club uses rugby clubs around the country to hold their events etc, as these have toilets, showers, electricty, bar, plenty of flat grass, and are empty during the summer months

I think Billing's a blinding venue.
I've paid more for camping in very muddy fields on farms with nasty services and no entertainment.

A raffle's a good idea

Sorry for the dB meter only reading up to 130 dB peeps :(
Better than nowt though, and suiable for most of us

YouTube promotion's a good idea, but needs doing a.s.a.p. for max coverage (nudge nudge Alan  ),
and as you say Luke - I'm sure traders will be more forethcoming next time given this years turnout :!:

Hope you can get a shop and equipment along Gurj.
I was annoyed that the shop I contacted didn't even get back to me to let me know either way
Maybe we could do more catagories within ICE, like Install, Sound Quality, SPL, for example.

I know Luke contacted people to attempt to arrange more interactive activities, to help people meet,
and think peoples ideas for PS3 competitions, remote control car racing, trailer towing etc next year would be fantastic,
but it takes for us members to actually follow through and sort it.

For the trailer towing, would it not be people using their own vans?
Surely anyone entering this comp would have a tow-bar?
But yes, someone would need to bring a trailer for everyone to use.

think i will keep out of that 1 its bad enough reversing a jumbo never mind a dam trailer on it aswell lol

i could posibly have a set up selling touch up paint in a little pot and brush mixed while you wait
and have general painting and wet flatting and machine polishing set up so people can see whats involved and what to look for and so on
also vans that have been sign written could be machine polished to get rid of the fadded paint and fine scratches
just a thought

Zorbs on the water, looked hilarious.
my kids loved it noobrider :D even tho my 5 yr old girl couldn`t quite work out why she wasn`t gettin wet :D
i must agree with a few others Billing has gone right down in my places i`d recommend to go to, it just seems as there not bothered what happens as long as they get ur money(we were going to stay sun night but 8 families of Gypo`s turned up within 5 mins)
they looked like the really rough ones with battered cars and caravans :?: glad they didn`t turn up on fri :D

one way of advertising the show depending on when it is in the year you could make some banners up and use them at other shows that we attend like gaydon, fordfair and the like.
Right 5th Transit now A black petrol mk5 swb, soon to be coverted into a day van mpv.

I have a contact who does big vinyl banners etc as well as vehicle graphics etc. Happy to have a word with him if it's any help. We had a few of his banners on the mower racing catch fencing to promote big meetings like the 6 and 12 hour races.

You can see some of his work at:

I thought I would jump the gun, a complete movie making novices attempt at portraying the show. If anyone objects to any of the content please let me know and I will remove it from the video

In ref to the trailer reversing comp, If we can get a willing dealer or even ford to supply a promotional vehicle + trailer for this event, both ford & the forum get good PR & everyone's a winner
