what about contacting the local uni or college who have a media department ?

most places scream out for doing this sort of thing with students
due to it being a start to finish process for them

sure if ya speak to them they will be well up for it

and lets be honest you cant get any worse than last years dvd but this time you call teh shots and they will undoubtedly take direction from luke as to what is expected and they also will have the latest in editing software and equipment

the problem is we dont want it to end up like last year the reason it came out bad was the people doing the filming didnt understand the event and they didnt know Transits, if we did get somone else to do it then we might end up with the same as last year I wouldn't have the time to 'direct' them i'd just have to let them get on with it, but if somone else wanted to be their director then thats fine by me

but personally i'd prefer to see an 'amateur' film done by genuine enthusiasts that captured the event as it is rather than something like last years 'proffesionals', there are loads of great clips done by members on you tube etc. but picking one, if you look at AlanN's short north weald clip just shows what can be achieved to me this made it look like a great weekend away - the proffesional Transitmania DVD didn't



but thats just my opinion and it wouldn't be me doing the filming or editing so what does everyone else think

Crap! I'm having trouble getting my head through the door... This was filmed on my stills camera, theres quite of few things I would like to change, but its OK for my first attempt
