you say it is only a camper van and do not put a lot of weight in it but most camper vans are near the gvw when built and loaded up for a holaday trip you need the best tyers you can get mate

Basically a van (Class 7 MOT) MUST run with commercial tyres BUT on a camper (Class 4 MOT) non commercial tyres will not a fail an MOT as long as they have the minimum load rating..

So it is possible depending on the tyre but as mentioned, check with the insurance company first.

wow , not bin on theis thread for a while , just seen all youe ansers , thanks for the info chaps it has all been tacken on bord ,
il let you no how i get on in the end unless i deside to sell my rims as ime finding 16" tyres are costing a fair bit compaired to the 14,s i have on now
