Hook up Electrics

Postby Jase 350 » Tue Jan 29, 2013 11:20 am

Hi Folks,

just looking opinions on this - would this http://www.towsure.com/product/Camping_ ... t_3_Outlet be fit to use in a day van conversion? i have already lined and insulated the van, it is getting carpeted this week so looking at electrics now

the conversion has no fixed furniture in it as it has to transport 3 bikes plus all the gear to track days as well

has anyone used this for the same purpose? when in use it will only be for TV, Microwave, toaster and kettle, altough not all at the same time

Would do the job perfectly well.
I had one in our old van, but I cut the lead and mounted it permanently in the van via an external hook up connector. Then put a socket on the cut wire to make a hook up lead.

I have a Power Inverter that will do just what you need, Wires up to the battery and with Engine Running it will power Microwave and stuff like that. I have a Post in the Sale bit but if you want anymore details just Inbox me. Cheers

I plan on getting one of those for my van when I get back to the conversion but may be worthwhile checking Go Outdoors if you have one near by. They have a similar product which looks identical and I've seen them on sale for £20 in the past - http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/mobile-mains-kit-p155317, seems to have plenty of good reviews.
