Fitting Fiamma F45 awning to Transit MK7 gutter

Hi Guys,

I would love an awning on my Transit, the Fiamma F45, looks like the one for me, similar style to the one in the picture below:-



Has anyone fitted one of these to the gutter of a Transit MK7.

I don't think I can mount it any other way, as I have a GRP (Leisuredrive) high top fitted.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Bolt it to the fibreglass using spreader plates on the inside.

I thought about that, how big is a "spreader plate"

What's the best way to ensure no leaks around the bolt holes?

Spreader plate wants to be at least the size of the brackets, but I would make it about 3 times the size. Use a good quality caravan mastic between the bracket and the roof to seal it, apply to the bracket, then tighten it up and clean off the excess
