Where to buy Windows?

HI there

can anyone recommend a good place to get Campervan side windows from? I've a 1991 SWB Transit, & the side windows are rusting away to hell around the edges. The best solution I can think of, save from replacing the entire side panels, is to get hold of some bigger windows which will enable me to cut around the bad rust spots.

The other option I thought of was to fit those black plastic panels that you sometimes see fitted to Talbot-type campers, big enough to cover the rusted areas. Any one have any ideas where you'd find a place that sells them?

I'm assuming you have standard Transit windows fitted at the moment.

If you cut the hole larger, what are you going to do with the inner frame that is spot welded to the outer panel around the window aperture?

If the rust hasn't gone too far and you have the style where the rubbers are within the recess (like this),



you may be able to hide the rust without altering the hole by changing them to the style where the rubbers overlap the edges of the recess (like this).

Ive got a sliding window if thats any good...its for Near side but can flip it over and use odd side...just slides the opposite way.

And as you drive down the motorway in the rain, the wind forces the water through the gap and all over the inside of the van

Na you just use silcone and seal it all up...
