Do i need a roof vent ?

I'm gonna be insulating / plylining / carpeting my 2001 SWB semi-hi roof Transit soon, gonna be fitting a basic bed a seats, also be carrying a few mountain bikes as well.
I'd only be spending an odd couple of nights at a time in it, also the bikes will be probly be wet most of the time.
Is it worth fitting somekind of roof vent ?

I would personally ( and did) especially if you are planning to cook inside it.

Not planning on cooking in it, what type of vent would be best ? One of those spinning ones or one you just push open ? I've heard the spinning ones can be noisey ?

Does it matter where you fit it in the roof, at the front ? at the rear ? or does it make no difference.

I never put a roof vent in mine, I just put a couple of them wind deflectors on the windows so I could have them open a bit without the rain driving in, works a treat in my opinion. I use my van for festivals, we stay in it for about 4 nights at a time. I may put a roof vent in at some point but if you're after a quick fix, I'd say they will do

I have the wind deflecters as well we always leave the windows open about an inch, but would still put at least a mushroom on, we have a mushroom at the front we had to make a bung for it while we drive its a bit noise otherwise, and we have a mpk 280 at the back, does us,

got 2 fletners off a guy on here a few years back as had rust starting on roof inside due to condensation, used one of em and worked a treat... but yes bit noisy spinning whilst trying to sleep, maybe ill jam it from spinning at this years north weald meet!

I ended up buying two of the closable ones from Ebay, the threaded part in the plastic is a bit flimsy but they seem ok, we'll see how they last.
