Mk 6 first time van conversion.

Postby cupid1964 » Thu Nov 08, 2012 5:51 pm

Well here goes.
We have a 2000W Transit T90 350 LWB 2.4 D she was bought as a work bus a year ago and served us well.
From a work horse to a means of towing our boat to the canal and touring with a caravan we thought she deserved a bit of TLC and a new line of work as a first time Motor home. So with a few pennies my husband and his brother set to work on this around 2 weeks ago. Now If you bear with me as I am new to this I will find out how and add some of the photos of the progress being made.

Looking good I also have the same van as you but a 55reg which I am also converting....so far but a fixed double bed in back as I use underneath for stair age for my racin equ. I've also changed the 2 front seats to recaros out of an escort and also fitted side windows. Next I'm going to insulate and board it out then fit kitchen etc should be done by next spring ready for race season!!

Hey dude I like it looks very neatly done. I'm hoping to do mine onto a day van soon. May I ask where you got the wall carpeting and veneered panels from?
