Hello, you folks of endless transit knowledge.

I'm afraid some of the details are sketchy but the story thus far roughly goes like this...

A friend of mine is selling his J Reg transit minibus ( not at all clear on the model but on appearance similar to: eBay listings .

He wants £1000, but admits that there is at least £400 worth of fixing up needing doing. After a decent look at her underside with a particularly sound friend, we found:

leaf springs need replacing
the turbo for the diesel engine will need replaced (he mentioned that it'd be cheaper to get a reconditioned one)
the exhaust
steering shaft/box
and some other maintainance of hoses etc

does it seem like like £400 is enough for these jobs? love the vehichle but don't want to take on more than I can handle with concerns to work/money.

Will update when more info is given but almost completely clueless as this will be a first buy. cheers.

If the chassis and body work are rust free then id say its worth it. Getting almost impossible to find one now that doesn't need welding up.

or definately a good solid runner. £1k all in would be a more reasonable price.
