advice on van for campervan conversion

im looking for a cheap transit lwb hi top for a camper conversion , got about 1400 to spend tops

i intend to sorn it over the winter while i do all the converting ,

saw this one on gumtree , has high miles , 222 000 , should i avoid or investigate further ?

Link isn't working for me. So i ain't sure what sort of van u r looking at.
but that does seem high miles for the money.

The advert is bull sh*t, there is no cam belt.
It should be Diamond white, not polar white.

A 90 ps will most likely have the 5.13 ratio towing diff, which means high revs when cruising, and poor fuel consumption

Engine being tickets could be worn top end or followers.

I reckon it's a bit too dear

Some current info for ya.

On Monday I won my 51 plate Mk6 LWB Hi Top with 117k up it for £1320 + £80 quid collecting it, So 1400 quid total.

I have been watching/searching for a while now & you will get what you want for 1400 quid if you are patient. So many you see have over 200k already up them so I think it's worth the wait for a low miler with next to no rust.

Happy to help so keep posting up links of what you are looking at & I'll give you my opinion. :)
